Santosh Law College Code of Conduct

The college code of conduct sets clear expectations for student behavior, emphasizing the importance of academic honesty, mutual respect, and responsible actions both within and outside the campus. Its purpose is to foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for the entire college community.

Academic Integrity

• Honesty and Citation: Students are expected to credit all sources correctly and avoid plagiarism.
• Ethical Academic Work: All assignments must be completed independently, without cheating or falsifying data.
• No Malpractices: Using unfair means such as copying, unauthorized materials, or helping others cheat is strictly prohibited.

Respect and Responsibility

• Respect for Individuals: All students must treat peers, faculty, and staff with dignity and respect, regardless of differences.
• Care for Property: Students should not harm, misuse, or steal college property and must maintain campus cleanliness.
• Lawful Behavior: Engaging in unlawful or dangerous acts, including drug or alcohol abuse and violence, is not permitted.
• Anti-Harassment Policy: The college enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct.
• Following College Rules: Students are expected to adhere to rules regarding attendance, dress code, and conduct within the classroom.
• No Disruptions: Any behavior that interferes with academic or campus activities is unacceptable.

Off-Campus Conduct

• Upholding College Reputation: Students must act responsibly off-campus as their behavior reflects on the college’s image.
• Avoiding Negative Behavior: Actions that could damage the college’s reputation should be avoided at all times.

Violation and Consequences

• Disciplinary Measures: Breaching the code may result in penalties ranging from warnings to expulsion.
• Severe Offenses: Serious misconduct such as violence, theft, or substance abuse will attract strict disciplinary action.
